Stefan Spengler, Dr. phil., StR, ist Kunst- und Geschichtspädagoge. Er studierte und promovierte am Institut für Kunstpädagogik der Universität Leipzig. An der IU Internationalen Hochschule lehrte er in den Studienbereichen Kindheitspädagogik und Soziale Arbeit. Seine Unterrichtserfahrung umfasst allgemeinbildende und berufliche Gymnasien, Berufskollegs, Berufsfachschulen, die Fachschule für Sozialpädagogik sowie Bildungsgänge der Berufsvorbereitung und des Vorqualifizierungsjahres Arbeit/Beruf mit Schwerpunkt Erwerb von Deutschkenntnissen.

Zu seinen Tätigkeitsfeldern gehören die Ausbildung von Erzieher:innen im Bereich der bildnerischen Entwicklung und Kreativitätsförderung sowie die fachspezifische Vorbereitung auf Abiturprüfungen. Darüber hinaus war er langjähriger Dozent in der Lehrer:innenfortbildung und in der Medienqualifizierung für Erzieher:innen.

Er ist Mitglied im BDK e. V., in der Gesellschaft für künstlerische Forschung in Deutschland sowie in der National Art Education Association (NAEA). Seine Forschungs- und Publikationsschwerpunkte liegen in der empirischen Bildungsforschung, der Digitalisierung kunstpädagogischer Praxis, Künstlerkooperationen und außerschulischen Lernorten.

Stefan Spengler, Dr. phil., StR, is an art and history educator. He studied and completed his doctorate at the Institute of Art Education at Leipzig University. At IU International University of Applied Sciences, he taught in the fields of Childhood Education and Social Work. His teaching experience includes general and vocational upper secondary schools, vocational colleges, vocational schools, colleges of social pedagogy, as well as vocational preparation programmes and pre-vocational training programmes with a focus on German language acquisition.

His professional activities include the training of early childhood educators in the areas of artistic development and creativity enhancement, as well as subject-specific preparation for final secondary school examinations. In addition, he worked for many years as a lecturer in teacher training and in media education programmes for early childhood educators.

He is a member of the BDK e. V., the Society for Artistic Research in Germany, and the National Art Education Association (NAEA). His research and publication interests focus on empirical educational research, the digitalisation of art education practice, artist collaborations, and learning in extracurricular settings.
